Just wondering do you people like him more than other two bassmasters?
Personally, I DON'T! Cliff is a God!

They didn't changed them, Cliff unfortulately died, and Jason made a good thing when he went, he couldn't stand Metallica's new sound as many of us don't
Yeah!! Screw Rob

It's a bit embarrassing that I have to ask, but how did Cliff die?
And concerning Robert: I don't know anything about him so I can't give my opinion.
Metallica isn't the same anyway?

Cliff got killed some time in the early 80's on their tour of Sweden/Denmark or some other Scandinavian country. He died in the bus crash. Also Google is your best friend for anything
that you don't know
Regarding Rob I think he's good. We are judging him harshly because we were used to the other guys.
Watch "Some Kind of Monster" DVD about Metallica. Jason was driven away by the fact that he wasn't feeling accepted. He didn't' feel like he was important in making decisions and that is crucial. Again in "Some Kind of Monster" DVD Kirk makes a joke at that when they talk about James+Lars being the ones who make decisions. Kirk said "welcome to the last 10 years of my life" (I'm not exactly sure of the number of years but it was a significant number). Basically Kirk doesn't feel accepted either. All of the guys are under an immense amount of pressure to perform and be perfect and produce albums that everyone likes in the ever changing world.
Also, don't underestimate Robert. During the audition process he was the only candidate that actually did everything they asked him to do and he was brilliant playing some very difficult pieces.

They're all good in there own ways.
Cliff(rip): Cliff had a very good spirt and lots of energy doe the band. Cliff will be known as the ''best'' because he was the first bassist.
jason: He did really good backup singing, also another good bass player in his ways.
Rob: A monster bass player and came from ozzy. But Metallica had lost alot from jason leaving(like alot of there backup singing) i dont think Metallica fans have never gave him a chance. if he wasn't good enough why would he still be in Metallica??
i haven't made my mind up yet! Metallica are my best band. They have there ups and they have there downs. I take them as they come, like a fan should.
